YOUR IDENTITY IS YOUR SECURITY

Many patients are admitted to the Clinique Turin every year. This requires particularly efficient organisation and services, and the strict application of safety rules, particularly with regard to IDENTITY. The risk of an individual being mistaken is unacceptable.
This constant vigilance means
- Taking identification details when you are admitted.
- Systematic and repeated verification of your identity at every stage of your care.
Understanding this means accepting that the checks will be repeated. Help us take care of you!
1. AN IDENTITY DOCUMENT
This is used to establish your identity when you are admitted.
You are identified by your birth name, first name, date of birth and gender. All this information is confidential and cannot be divulged. You will then be issued with labels that will follow you around the departments that will be caring for you.
When you are admitted, your patient file is created using your carte vitale (for future reimbursements) and a valid form of photo identification (identity card, passport, residence permit, etc.).
Please note! Only correct identification can ensure that you receive safe, high-quality care.
2. A BRACELET PERSONALISED WITH YOUR IDENTITY
The bracelet is proof of your identity at every stage of your care.
In order to be able to recognise you in all circumstances, including when you are sleeping, your identity is written on a bracelet.
If you have any questions or if this bothers you, please speak to the nursing staff.
Every day, tests, X-rays and other procedures are carried out by the establishment's professionals. Every treatment, every prescription, every procedure must be yours!
Ensuring that each patient's identity is correct before each procedure and following precise procedures enable professionals to avoid any risk of error.
3. REGULAR ORAL QUESTIONING
This allows us to check your identity and answer any questions you may have.
Several times a day, staff will ask you for your identity. Don't be surprised, this systematic and repeated check further strengthens the security of your identification and therefore your care.
You too can play an active role in your care at any time during your stay. Help us to recognise you for sure!
Last week, as part of Patient Safety Week, we distributed an information booklet to our in-patients.
