Almaviva Santé, France's 4th largest private healthcare group, is continuing its external growth and has completed the acquisition of two Paris hospitals: Clinique Internationale du Parc Monceau and Clinique Turin.
Almaviva Santé becomes the leading private player in Paris in dialysis, and the second largest in surgery and medicine.
Almaviva Santé is now a major player in the private hospital sector in Paris, becoming the leading private group in dialysis with 3 nephrology and haemodialysis centres and more than 66,000 sessions provided each year, and the second largest private player in surgery and medicine with 6 health establishments* and almost 400 practitioners.
"We are very proud to welcome the practitioners and staff of these two establishments to Almaviva Santé. In keeping with our strategy of developing regional centres, this merger will enable us to establish a strategic position in the Paris region, with proven expertise in our field. We now have centres of excellence in all medical specialities," says Yann Coléou, Chairman of Almaviva Santé.
"Joining forces with Almaviva Santé, with whom we have already had a stake in the Sainte Thérèse maternity hospital for several years, is a natural step. It is also a meeting of human values shared by both entities", adds Stéphane Liévain, former Chairman of the Monceau Group, which is becoming a shareholder in Almaviva Santé.
"The medical expertise and excellent technical facilities of the Cliniques du Parc Monceau and Turin will complement Almaviva Santé's care offering in Paris. The fluidity of care pathways will be enhanced for the benefit of patients. These projects will be developed in partnership with the medical teams, while respecting the identity of each establishment," adds Amélie Gélis, Regional Director.
The management of the Turin Clinic has been entrusted to Dorothée Pasquier. A graduate of ILIS in Hospital Management, she previously worked for the Ramsay GDS group in various management positions, most recently as General Manager of the Clinique du Plateau in Bezons and the Clinique de la Défense. She brings more than 15 years' experience in the field, with a wide range of skills in all areas of hospital management.
* The Paris division now includes Cliniques de l'Alma (7th arrondissement), Turin (8th arrondissement), Arago (14th arrondissement), Sainte Thérèse (17th arrondissement), Parc Monceau (17th arrondissement) and Paris Lilas (Les Lilas, 93).
